This is the first time I visit this site, I´ve got no time yet to enjoy it, but it seems to be very nice! I need HELP UGENTLY: I´d make a live show with some musicians doing versions of the Beatles´ songs, but I´m having problems to play the vocals (chorus) and bass. ¿Can ANYBODIE send me a direction where I could find SCORES, or send me the scores? I´d talk with people to exchange spanish groups scores. THANKS! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

An awsome machine... tell all of your friends about this site, cuz they will truly enjoy it ! A "real" reason to search the net ..... Gotta play it, gotta luv it... gotta find tab for it. Anyone out there figured out "Restless Heart's song called "When She Cries" ? It is very simple to figure out, but I haven't got the patience right now.

Thanx, and keep up the good work !

I stumbled upon this site and I love it! I just recently began to play guitar and this site has given me the opportunity to learn all my favorite songs! I wasn't sure if I'd be able to find the music I'm into (80's metal) but was I geeked when I did! This site rocks. It's definately one of the best on the web. =)

Dude, this is the most awesome guitar sight I have ever seen. I'm in a band called Above Suspicion, and we've got about 35 of our own songs, but we were still looking for some songs to cover. When I found this sight I was so stoked. There's everything I could have asked for and more. If anybody out there wants to hear my music, or come see us play, then e-mail me.

You really have a fantastic WEB site!! I am a 57 year old Corporate Executive who played around half-heartedly with the guitar for many years. I decided to take it a little more seriously and found your Web site while browsing. I was elated to find you. I like country music and play the acoustic guitar. I was floored to find the wealth of information you provide. I haven't even checked for other sites. You have done a wonderful job with Guitar Notes and I salute you. I thank you for your efforts. You have made my renewed interest in the guitar much more enjoyable.

Are there any good lefty upside down players out there? (Bass E string aiming to the floor) I've been playing this way for 30 years and there are a lot of chord inversions that we can grab that the regular players can't. I was tired of making excuses why I couldn't cop certain licks. Now I just invent ones that no one else can play... hope to share ideas with other upside down southpaws in the future.

This is the greatest. It was recommended to me by a friend, and if I do say so, it has made me a lazy person when it comes to working out songs, but who cares, keep those tabs coming. Maybe one of these days when I've had my fill of using other peoples's hard work I will contribute, and I mean that in a good way.

I surf a lot of guitar sites looking for chords tabs and gear. I like reading about the tech tips and setup dribble. I play a '69 Gibson SG and a '91 Clapton Strat. I also have a Sonic Jr., an Aria 12 string acoustic electric circa 1971 that's completely bastardized,a Takamine acoustic that I bought new in 1978,a Goya acoustic that I got for my birthday in 1966,a gourd shape mandolin and a tipple. I have played in folk trios and quartets, country, gospel and rock bands since I was 14 years old. I love southern rock and blues but I'll try to play anything that's cool, anything from Marshall Tucker to Green Day, Dillon to Hindrix. I got a dog named Harley Davidson and a cat named Salem. My face is old but my heart still rocks. BTW Kool Site. It's bookmarked on my machine for good!

Hey everybody! I said "guitarTABS - 101" would be rockin' by January 1, and I didn't lie! And, thanks to a query about the Nashville Number System, I even got THAT one in, and made an easy, colorful reference chart to use. Here's a synopsis of the first five "tutorials:"

"So ... You Wanna Play Guitar, Huh?" - This is the Introduction to "guitarTABS - 101." Alan shares his experiences and philosophies about the whole experience of learning acoustic guitar. This is also the longest discourse of them all ... it's worth the read, though.

"What? ... Modal Who?" - Alan talks about Open and Modal tunings ... and gives you an overview of the Open G Tuning style he plays in, and why it's the one he's using to teach guitar with, here at the site.

"I Gotcher Modal Tunings ... Right Here." - Explains and catalogs over 20 different modal, open, and dropped tunings ... including transposed tunings, and the so-called "Nashville Tuning." This page is still under construction - the listed tunings are to become links to chord charts and RealAudio clips for tuning and playing references.

"Finger Pickin' ... Patterns & Styles" - The fine art of finger picking, and how to do it well ... using Alan's favorite patterns. -- there's only ONE pattern, so far ... but it HAS begun! And there are some important points about the gestalt of the subject.

"The Nashville Number System" - This short tutorial explains how to use the Nashville Number System - a simple formula for easy chord referencing. The coolest thing about this system, becomes obvious when you change the very KEY that the song is in ... and realize that you don't have to rewrite the music sheets for all your musicians!

There you go! I hope you like all my hard labors (yeah, right!) ... please email me with ANY needs for improvement that you experience.

Thanks! And ... HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
