Diminished Licks Over an E7 Groove

When you're playing over a static type of groove, you can create some interesting phrases by using parts of the diminished scale to give your lines a unique flavor. All the examples in this lesson are for an E7 type of static groove. In this context, we can use the E Half-Whole Diminished Scale which means E, F, G, G#, A#, B, C#, D.
