Heartfelt Music Ministry is passionate about leading others toward intimacy with God. How can we help you do this in your ministry? As a non-profit ministry, the seven Board Members and Reggie Coates (Executive Director) desire to enhance your ministry and help you become more effective in drawing others closer to Christ through music and teaching. There are many ways you can utilize Reggie's talents and gifts as he customizes what he does to meet your ministry needs. Here are four ways most groups involve him:
Concerts
Through dynamic guitar and vocal tapestry, Reggie seeks to inspire a deeper faith as he shares his journey through life. His style is similar to Phil Keaggy and James Taylor while the content of each concert is joyful, entertaining, encouraging and motivational to live in Christ. He holds a BA in Vocal Performance and has been aggressively playing the guitar for 30 years.
Worship Leading
Reggie desires for every Christian to catch the vision of Colossians 3:16 "...singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God." Having led worship for 29 years and having been a Music and Worship Pastor for many years, he enjoys leading congregational singing for churches, special events and conference centers. He has led worship for Azusa Pacific University's Mexico Outreach for 10 years and has taught a Critical Concerns Course for Youth Specialties' Youth Workers Convention called Leading Students in Worship and Song.
Training
Reggie can work with your musicians, leadership and congregation as a Worship Coach, specifically tailoring his instruction to take them to the next level. Reggie holds Leading Singing Effectively Workshops, Christian Guitarist Workshops, Christian Vocalist Workshops, plus Worship & Songwriting workshops throughout the United States and abroad as well as teaching private and group music lessons. He holds the Christian Guitarist Conferences in California and Illinois which brings in quality Christian Artists such as Phil Keaggy, Paul Baloche, Doyle Dykes, Wes King, Bob Bennett, Randy Stonehill, Rick Foster, Bruce Carroll, Pete Orta (from Petra), and Jay Leach. Reggie is available to uniquely train your musicians and tailor the contents of the workshop to meet their specific needs.
Teaching
Reggie will have a memorable impact on your group through his presentation of Bible exposition, poignant music videos, powerful Christian music CDs, and penetrating live musical illustrations. From his years of teaching music in public and private schools (Junior High age through College level), he has developed a relevant and relational style which reaches all ages. He is a licensed minister having gone through Bible school and pastoral training under the mentoring of Dr. Ray C. Stedman. With years of experience as a Youth Pastor and a Worship Pastor, Reggie has a heartbeat on what encourages others in their Christian walk. He has taught the youth at Chuck Swindoll's Insight For Living Family Camp at Mount Hermon and the Dallas Theological Seminary Family Camp at Mount Hermon.
