Classifieds Help
For each classified ad at Guitar Notes, a number of fields are
viewable and clickable:
- type is the type of ad posted. There are four types of ads:
forsale, wanted, trade, and auction.
In particular, auctions are ads in
which the seller will sell the advertised item to the highest bidder before
the auction closing date.
Clicking on the type of the ad will search for all ads of the
same type and display them in sorted order, most recently posted ad first.
- title is the title of the ad, which is generally a short
one-line summary of the ad. Clicking on the title of the ad will
bring up a page that displays all the details of the respective ad.
- advertiser is the person or company that is advertising the
given item. Clicking on the advertiser of the ad will search for all
ads that were posted by the advertiser and display them in sorted
order, most recently posted ad first.
- category is the category of the ad, such as acoustic
guitars, electric guitars, teachers, etc. Clicking on the category of
the ad will search for all ads of the same category and display them
in sorted order, most recently posted ad first.
- condition is the condition of the item described in the ad
and generally applies only to equipment for sale. Condition can be
anything from brand new to poor. Clicking on the condition of the item
will search for all items of the same condition and display them in
sorted order, most recently posted ad first.
- price is the price of the item described in the ad,
generally in US dollars (USD), but other currencies may be used as well.
If the ad is an auction, the initial price that a seller enters when posting
an ad is the minimum bid price for the item. All bids on the item must be
at least equal to the minimum bid price in order to qualify for bidding.
- location is the location of the item described in the ad.
Clicking on the location will give a map to the respective location.
To limit search results by price, type of ad, etc., please try using the
advanced search options.
