Review for: Yamaha Pacifica 112M
Purchase price of Cdn. 219
Rating: 5.0
Comments:112's are the best guitar value on the market. Don't let anyone tell you they're for beginners - do yourself a favour and try one out before you reach for your "dream Strat". I'm so glad I did. I've been playing for 8 years and I gig about 3 days a week. I'll use this 112M live for stratty tones, just like I've been using my other 112. The other guitar I use live is an Ernie Ball Music Man Axis. I need it for hard rock and anything that requires a Floyd Rose tuning system. Obviously if I'm playing a Music Man, I'm not afraid to pay for quality workmanship and good tone. For stratty tones I would gig with a 112M over any of the new U.S. Fenders. The humbucker also gives it the added capability of handling gain when you need it to. I usually reach for my Music Man when I hit that distortion pedal though. 112s and 112Ms are too good to be true in the bang for your buck department. I laugh my head off every time I think that I've spent less than half the price of a single Lonestar strat on two Pacifica 112s that sound better anyways. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
