Review for: Yamaha Pacifica 112M
Purchase price of 340 CAD
Rating: 4.0
Comments:I have bought, sold, and/or traded over 25 (I lost count) guitars in the 11 years I have played, including a few Ibanez, Fender, Gibson, Laredo, and even some locally made pawnshop gems. With that in mind, for such a solid, good sounding, comfortable feeling guitar at the price I paid, I couldn't have expected any of these features, yet this guitar has them all: -A great neck-Good craftsmanship (although the guitar itself is basic)-Nice pickups-Alder body Adjust to taste, add a few goodies like locking tuners, etc., and for maybe a couple hundred dollars more, you have a guitar that would have cost at least several hundred more from any other manufacturer. If it were lost/stolen, I'd buy another one in a second. I have a hard enough time finding a guitar in any price range that has an alder body and pickups that sound right that I couldn't think of any other guitar that could take its place. I'm sure someone could twist my arm into getting a Parker Fly or a Paul Reed Smith, but I'd rather spend that extra money on much needed studio equipment rather than more features on my guitar such as a slick paint job and a figured body. I mean, who gets to see the pretty guitar when you're playing anyways? Certainly not you. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
