Review for: Peavey EVH Wolfgang
Purchase price of 1300 USD
Rating: 5.0
Comments:I've been playing electric guitar since I took a rifle my father bought me to a pawn show and traded it for my first electric in about '77. I've owned several pretty nice guitars, but this is the most satisfying guitar I've ever owned. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat. Edward owns versions of the Wolfgang Special with different pickup configurations. He has one with two P-90 pickups as well as one with three single-coil pickups. I imagine (though I never asked) that they're test guitars so he can decide on the perfect example of P-90 pickups and single-coil pickups for this body. If he ever decides he's got it right I'll jump at the chance to own one of each. Edward Van Halen has great judgement when it comes to building guitars. A really fine guitar with a beautiful tone will sound great playing clean fingerpicked country licks into a Bassman or through an ultra-high-gain amp doing dive-bombs and kicking out artificial harmonics and my Wolfgang lives up to that and more. This instrument is an outstanding success. I feel lucky to have benefitted from Edward's wisdom. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
