Review for: '52 Reissue Telecaster
Purchase price of 1000 USD
Rating: 4.0
Comments:This is as close to a vintage Telecaster as you can get in a modern guitar and a much better value than something like an Anderson (yes, an Anderson is a better guitar, but it's maybe 10%-25% more guitar for 100%-200% more of the price). The Custom Shop models may be worth checking out if you can afford the extra cash - only the Fenders seem to be able to capture that vintage Tele sound. Overall, it's a vintage Tele. If that's what you want, then it's great. If you want to play jazz, "modern rock," or metal look elsewhere. It's great for rock/blues/country though even stuff as "hard" as Led Zeppelin (Jimmy Page played Telecasters for most of the first two albums - the bridge pickup can really growl and rock when pushed). I tried and owned a lot of other guitars before I really found my own sound and style, and this Telecaster with my Bassman (plus a '62 Strat re-issue through a Vox AC-30) really fit the bill. Everyone who seems to review guitars on here says "this is the best guitar to own!", well this is the best guitar for me and a lot of people probably won't care much for it, but it's a vintage Tele and that's the sound I want Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
