Review for: Squier Musicmaster Bass
Purchase price of Canadian 400
Rating: 3.0
Comments:I've been playing for about 17 years, on and off, as an amateur of about intermediate ability. I've never gigged regularly, but I've played with a lot of people who are full time musicians for fun. I play fusion and Jazz and Rock. I use a Gallien Krueger RB400 Amp, alesis nanocrompressor, and Goliath Junior cabinet. I've owned 5 fretted basses, and this one is my favorite, partly because it just plain fits me so well, and sounds decent. If I lost it, I'd do everything possible to buy another one and modify it to my needs. I recommend it to anyone else who is vertically challenged, and offer this advice -- don't let everyone convince you the short scale bass is just a toy and if you were a real man you'd play a full scale bass. Sink some money into modifying the MusicMaster or other short scale bass the way you want it, if necessary, and enjoy playing a bass that fits you!!!! My rating without the modifications I've made is a 7. With the modifications I've made (shielding and new pickups), I make it a 5. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
